Greenville Employees Help Local Students Start off Right with School Tools
August 23, 2012

For the ninth consecutive year, KBR Building Group’s Greenville office has helped local children in need get ready for back to school through the United Way of Greenville County’s annual School Tools program.

The United Way provided paper grocery bags with labels indicating middle school or elementary school, as well as boy or girl. The initiative was a great success and every bag was filled in plenty of time for distribution to the young students before the first day of school on August 22.

For those employees who preferred to make a monetary donation, Carol Neely, administrative assistant, offered to shop on their behalf.  “With the generous donations of my co-workers, we were able to provide quite a number of extra supplies this year that the United Way can use to supplement the School Tools bags they receive from the community,” said Carol. “We find it rewarding to know that through our efforts multiple children will have the supplies they need.”
