Boeing South Carolina to Operate as 100% renewable energy site
April 20, 2011

The Boeing Company announced to the world last week that its new South Carolina 787 Final Assembly building will have solar panels installed on the roof that will provide up to 2.6 megawatts of electrical power for the site — enough to power approximately 250 homes for an entire year. The installation will be the largest in the Southeast by production capacity.

The Building Group's Greenville office is part of a joint venture responsible for the design and construction of Boeing high-profile aerospace manufacturing building and associated facilities at the company's South Carolina complex in North Charleston.
