BE&K Building Group Constructing New Laboratory Facility for Boeing at Oklahoma City Campus
August 3, 2015

BE&K Building Group has begun construction on a new 290,000-square-foot laboratory facility for Boeing in Oklahoma City where the aerospace company is expanding its operations in the sustainment of defense aircraft. The new facility is designed to house approximately 800 employees working in engineering, research and development laboratories, and support areas. This will be the third building on Boeing’s existing campus. A summer 2016 opening is anticipated.

During the groundbreaking ceremony, Boeing’s Global Services & Support (GS&S) President Leanne Caret announced that the headquarters for GS&S’ Aircraft Modernization and Sustainment (AM&S) division would move to Oklahoma City in the months ahead. This decision transfers approximately a dozen senior management positions to Oklahoma City and reflects the site’s importance to the company.
