Greenville Office Employees Support Local Non-Profit's Wheelchair Ramp-Build Program
May 13, 2015

One of our Greenville office’s recent community outreach initiatives benefitted Rebuild Upstate, a local non-profit serving the Upstate region of South Carolina. Unlike organizations that focus on new home construction, Rebuild Upstate volunteers exclusively repair and improve existing homes for disabled, low-income and elderly people.

Bringing accessibility to the disabled is a major area of focus for Rebuild Upstate. For wheelchair users, the lack of a ramp often means they cannot safely enter or exit their homes for medical appointments, grocery shopping or other weekly activities. To support this cause, KBR Building Group employees voluntarily donated a total of $335 which will help with the cost of building materials for a ramp.

Our Greenville office supports a different charitable organization each month. Our employee committee for this particular service effort included Robert Judd, Cameron Tuckfield, Mark Manos, Steve McGrey and Karla Favuzza. To learn more about Rebuild Upstate, click here.
