Employees in Upstate S.C. and Raleigh-Durham Area Donate Coats and Blankets for Those in Need
January 25, 2015

As a community service initiative for January, the Building Group’s Greenville (S.C.) and Research Triangle Park (N.C.) offices decided to collect new and gently-used coats and blankets for those less fortunate. By the middle of the month, employees at both locations had donated generously.

Project Host, a non-profit that operates a soup kitchen near downtown Greenville, gladly accepted our company’s donation. Volunteers distributed the much-needed cold-weather items to patrons of the soup kitchen during Monday's lunch hour.

The Building Group’s RTP office chose the Durham Rescue Mission as the beneficiary for its collection of coats and blankets. As Durham's oldest and largest long-term shelter, the Durham Rescue Mission currently serves 400 men, women and children daily — 365 days per year — providing safe shelter, food, education and addiction recovery programs.

Both our Greenville and RTP offices have partnered with these specific local organizations before.
