Sustainable Features
This Greek-Revival style facility has earned LEED Gold certification and is in full compliance with interagency security criteria. GSA has established national goals to reduce building energy use. This building is designed to reduce energy consumption by 28%. It also incorporates water efficient landscaping, reduction of water use by 30%, and use of recycled materials along with other LEED criteria. During construction, as much construction waste as possible was diverted from landfills by sorting and recycling. The project goal was to divert 50% from disposal. GSA committed to implementing a green housekeeping program once the facility was occupied.
